Redeemer Sunday School

Redeemer offers Sunday school classes for all ages! This is a fantastic way to learn together and get to know others in a small setting.

Session 1: Sept. 13-Oct. 25
Session 2: Nov. 11-Dec.13
Session 3: Jan. 10-Feb. 28
Session 4: April 4-May 16
*No SS month of March due to Easter and spring break

Women's Bible Study:  The women of Redeemer will be studying the book of Daniel beginning Sunday, September 13th and ending October 25th. We will be using this seven-session Bible study book by David Helm.  Our prayer is that this study will reassure, challenge and fill us with joy as we desire  to live for God in a hostile world. Books are available in the coffee area and wherever you buy books. A six week study of  Ezekiel will begin on Sunday, November 1st and end on December 13th. Be watching for details.

The Ten Commandments: God calls his people not only to be hearers of his word, but also doers of his word. But how can we obey him if we do not know what he asks of us? Join us this Fall as we look at the Ten Commandments to study God’s Moral Law, so that we may glorify Him with our obedience and cultivate our faith together.

New City Catechism:  Learn the importance of catechesis in the life of the church and how to use the New City Catechism with your family. Recommended for: Anyone! Especially parents and those helping lead Redeemer kids. Copies of the New City Catechism will be provided.

What is Reformed Christianity (Broadly)?This fall, Redeemer Youth is learning about what it means to be (broadly) Reformed. Our claim is that the Reformed Christian is the happiest Christian (or at least they ought to be). Is this true? We'll let you be the judge. Each week, we will define, defend, and apply the following aspects of the Reformed faith (from Scripture):

• Week 1 – The gospel: What is the gospel message? We argue: God saves sinners through Jesus.
• Week 2 – 1st Foundational Principle: Scripture. What do we believe about Scripture? Or, more importantly, what did Jesus believe about Scripture?
• Weeks 3–7 – The Five Solas: salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for God's glory alone, based on Scripture alone. What do these solas mean, why do we believe them, and why are they relevant?
• Week 8 – 2nd Foundational Principle: Sovereignty. What is the extent of God's sovereignty? Is God sovereign over all things, or some things?
• Weeks 9–13 – The Doctrines of Grace (or Glory): TULIP (a.k.a the Five Points of Calvinism). What do these doctrines mean, why do we believe them, and why are they relevant?

Our prayer is that, through this class, as we expound Scripture week by week, we will become increasingly aware of the incomprehensible glory of God. "To the praise of his glorious grace... to the praise of his glory... to the praise of his glory" (Eph 1:6, 12, 14).
 

 

Join us at 9:00 where we provide a safe and fun atmosphere for kids to build friendships and learn about God and His plans for us: the gospel, the message about Christ, the kingdom of God, and salvation.
In September, we will learn about how Jesus brings truth! Jesus taught God's truth through His words, miracles, and actions. Jesus preached to many people so they could learn about God. He told parables about the kingdom of God. He showed that God wants His people to be saved from sin and experience life with Him forever.
In October, we will learn about how Jesus brings life! Jesus performed miracles that proved He is the Son of God. These miracles strengthened people's faith, met their needs, and displayed His power over death. Through Jesus, God did what is impossible for us to do on our own: He provided forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life.
