Congregational Care

OUR MISSION: No One Walks Alone

At Redeemer Presbyterian Church Waco, our Congregational Care Team exists ensure that when life brings joy, sorrow, or hardship, our Church family shows up —
with prayer, a meal, a visit, or simply a listening ear.

That’s the love of Christ in action.

Practical Love in Action

Meals for a family in crisis. A Meal Train for a household facing a long recovery. A visit to someone in the hospital. A card for a grieving spouse. These are the things our Congregational Care Team does week in and week out.

If you or someone you know in our Church family is going through a hard season — reach out. We want to help.

Presence Matters

Our team coordinates hospital visits, sits with families in waiting rooms, and ensures that those walking through illness or medical crisis know their Church family is right there with them.

No one should face those hours alone.

How We Serve Our Church Family

Over the years, our team has had the privilege of coming alongside Redeemer’s families in many of life’s most significant moments.
Here is a glimpse of what that looks like:
Weddings
We help coordinate care and logistics around weddings, making sure the day is marked with the love and support of the whole church family.
Benevolence
When members of our congregation face financial hardship, we work quietly and graciously to connect them with the resources and help they need.
Newborns
The arrival of a new baby is a joy worth celebrating — and a season that deserves practical support. We organize Meal Trains, prayer showers, and other care for families welcoming a newborn.
Meals & Meal Trains
Whether it’s a single meal dropped on a doorstep or a full Meal Train organized for a family facing surgery, illness, or loss, our team mobilizes the Church to show love in one of the most tangible ways possible — a home-cooked meal.
Pastoral Care
Our team provides a good deal of direct pastoral care ourselves — visits, calls, prayer, and presence. We also serve as the eyes and ears of the congregation, ensuring our pastor is informed about needs as they arise so that no one falls through the cracks.
Caregiver Support
Did you know Redeemer has a Caregiver Support Group? If you are caring for an aging parent, a sick spouse, or anyone with ongoing needs, our group meets regularly to share, pray, and encourage one another. Ask us how to get connected.
Grief Support
Grief Is Real. So Is the Church.
Hardship is real. So is the Church showing up.
Congregational Care at Redeemer Waco — loving our people through every season of life.
