Helmet and Sword | Ephesians 6:17

Ephesians 6:17 tells us to take up the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit. We do this because it’s easy to lose sight of the gospel and focus inward, as Luther describes when he says we "curve in on ourselves." By putting on the helmet of Christ’s salvation and relying on the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s Word, we can work out our salvation.
