Hezekiah | 2 Kings 19:14-23, 29-37

Two hundred plus years have passed since the rule of Solomon, and the kingdom of Israel is split. No one has been able to unite or carry the whole kingdom. The Assyrians are on the move and have destroyed everything in their way. King Hezekiah, surrounded, turns to the LORD and lays out everything before him. As his ancestor David did, Hezekiah prays his soul and his troubles to God. We are reminded that our only present help in trouble is God--the Sustainer and Creator.
