REACHING THE BROKEN, THE BURNT OUT, AND THE FORGOTTEN.
We're actively working and thinking thru ways we can bridge the gap racially and culturally. Our Denomination has as a whole has recognized, confessed, and condemned its own part in racism. And so do we! You can read the whole statement here and it's amendment.
We're seeking wisdom from very helpful resources like the RAAN network on how to move forward, and we hosted a conference in the fall of 2016 seeking to understand racism and the church. You can watch the video below:
This past Spring we offered a Spanish Speaking Sunday School class with the aim of beginning a team to reach out to our hispanic neighbors.
Let's keep the conversation going!
We believe no child is worthless. The children who are abused, neglected, and discarded we see as beautiful, precious, and in need of a second father and mother. Redeemer is blessed with a whole network of families who participate in foster and adoptive care.
We also support organizations in Waco like Arrow and A World For Children. Caring for orphans can mean many things: it can mean fostering/adopting, but it can also mean doing short term care, getting approved to babysit those families who have felt called to foster/adopt.
